As the leaves turn gold and the morning air turns crisp, autumn naturally invites a transition toward steady, grounding routines. For me, that means an exciting personal milestone: I’m officially heading back to my part-time day job.
I have genuinely missed the camaraderie of my colleagues and the dependable rhythm that regular work brings to each day. Stepping back into that environment feels fantastic, but it does mean a much tighter structure for client visit availability moving forward.

Service Availability & Booking Updates
To balance my day job with giving your pets the dedicated, unhurried care they deserve, visit windows are strictly scheduled outside my shift hours—with firm boundaries on evening and weekend times:
- Weekday Hours (Monday – Friday, 09:30 – 15:30): I am fully unavailable during these hours and do not offer midday visits. Weekday appointments are available solely during early mornings (before 09:30) and late afternoons (between 15:30 and 17:00). I do not carry out visits past 17:00, with exceptions strictly reserved for medical requirements.
- Weekend Policy Reminder: A quick reminder from our update at the start of 2026—weekend care is mornings only. I do not offer afternoon or evening visits on Saturdays or Sundays.
With these focused time windows, available slots will book up significantly faster this season. If you have autumn travel plans or require upcoming coverage, please get in touch early so we can secure your spot in advance.
Note: Droitwich Moggy Daycare operates separately to the above, so please get in touch with Tim directly for availability.

Helping Cats Navigate a Quieter House
Whenever schedules shift, our cats feel the change immediately. Felines are creatures of habit, and having an empty house between 09:30 and 15:30 requires a few thoughtful adjustments to keep them warm, stimulated, and settled:
- Create Dedicated Sun-Chasing Spots: As autumn days shorten, natural light shifts fast. Position a favorite armchair or plush bed right in the path of the midday window sun, layered with a chunky knit blanket to trap radiant heat throughout the afternoon.
- Provide Passive Window Enrichment: Keep garden-facing blinds open. Watching the autumn breeze swirl through the trees and spotting birds or squirrels provides hours of calm mental engagement while the house is quiet.
- Depart on a Positive Note: Turn leaving the house into a rewarding routine rather than an abrupt event. Scatter a few crunchy treats or leave a puzzle feeder in another room right before heading out the door to keep their focus off the exit.
- Anchor the Day with Predictable Interaction: Cats adapt best when the start and end of their day remain consistent. Keeping breakfast and dinner times strictly on schedule, paired with a focused burst of wand-toy play as soon as you’re home, provides all the reassurance they need.
Routine changes take a little grace, but with cozy perches and dependable routines, our pets settle into new rhythms remarkably fast. Thank you for your continued support as I return to my day job—I look forward to catching up with your furry friends during our morning and late afternoon rounds!
