Hello kitty clients welcome to the August edition of our monthly Mewsletter! July has been an absolutely purr-fect whirlwind for me here at Moggy Daycare. It’s been a very busy month with visits and meeting some lovely new clients, but I have to say it’s been incredibly fruitful and enjoyable seeing so many of our regular feline family members and giving them all the love and attention they require whilst their humans are away. There’s nothing quite like those familiar purrs and head bumps that remind me why I love this job so much!

Exciting Team News!
I’m thrilled to announce that as of yesterday, we’ve taken on a casual staff member to join our little Moggy family! Please give a warm welcome to John, who is a personal friend of mine and will be working with us while he looks for a full-time position elsewhere. John will be covering weekends for me, which will be either one full day or a half day.

This is a huge step forward for me personally – it means I can finally get some much-needed regular time off, which is absolutely essential for my mental health and wellbeing. I could very easily continue working seven days a week, but I don’t wish to work myself to a point where it becomes unhealthy, and this allows me to provide you all with the best possible service.
I can personally vouch for John as a genuinely good guy, and he’s also a cat owner himself, so he knows exactly what to look for and how to care for our furry clients. This is a short to medium-term arrangement, but it’s helping us plan for the future. Eventually, we’ll be looking to hire a permanent staff member who will be fully vetted with DBS checks and given thorough training before beginning work with us.

Important Service Updates
Just a friendly reminder that weekend services will be spinning down to AM visits only at some point later this year. Don’t worry – all existing bookings will still be honoured exactly as planned, but any fresh bookings coming in will be subject to the new AM-only weekend service structure. This change will help us maintain our high standards while giving our team (including John!) a better work-life balance.

Exciting Tech Development
We’ve got some fantastic news on the technology front! We’ve started development of our very own bespoke pet sitting software. We’re aiming for this to be a complete one-stop shop that will manage our bookings, invoicing, route planning, and much more. This means we won’t need to be subscribed to multiple different services anymore, and most importantly, we can custom-tailor the software to suit exactly what we need – no more “bodging” existing software to do a half-baked job for us!

September Closure Reminder
Don’t forget that Moggy Daycare Worcester will be closed towards the end of September for a week so we can have a well-deserved holiday. Full details including exact dates can be found on our Official Closure Dates page on the website, so please do check that out when planning your bookings.
